The uptake of evidence-based practice(s) (EBPs) in “real-world” settings requires
the use of feasible and appropriate implementation strategies.

But, identifying implementation strategies is often a challenge for researchers and
clinicians.

The Expert Recommendations for Implementing Change (ERIC) strategies were developed

to identify implementation strategies that work well across diverse settings and
populations. There is limited evidence, however, on which ERIC strategies are feasible
and appropriate in the context of the nursing home (NH) setting. NHs are unique compared
with most healthcare settings as residents both receive care and live in the highly
regulated, dynamic, and under-resourced environment. Our on-going hybrid III cluster
randomized pragmatic trial, Evidence Integration Triangle for Management of Behavioral
Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (EIT-4-BPSD),

provided an opportunity to evaluate the feasibility and appropriateness of the ERIC
