Regarding the March 2021 article, Doherty WJ, et al. Prediction of postoperative outcomes following hip fracture surgery: independent validation and recalibration of the Nottingham Hip Fracture Score. J Am Med Dir Assoc 2021;22(3):663-669.
On page 4 in the paragraph entitled recalibration in methods, there needs to be an amendment to the coefficient, constant and equation. The coefficient stated as “0.434” should instead be “−0.434”. The constant stated as “−5.02” should be “5.02”. The equation should take into account the above changes and state “Risk (%) = 100/(1 + e∧[5.02 – (0.434 × NHFS)]).
