Creating an Interdisciplinary Learning Community to Support Nursing Facility Teams Using the Project ECHO platform

With over 1200 nursing homes (NH) in Texas, there is a need for support and education of NH teams. The Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) platform provides a model for creating interactive and interdisciplinary learning communities by connecting teams with experts through videoconferencing sessions. Our aim is to provide support and education to NH teams throughout Texas and serve as a reliable resource for sharing up to date information and best practices in long-term care.
